What To Consider When Choosing Wedding Photographers

When you hire a wedding photographer it can be confusing and a bit of mystery exactly what the costs in include.? It is always a good idea to be familiar with some basic camera terminology so you know that you are going to get the great service and quality of photos you are paying for. Photographers Camera: The colour and low light performance of a camera are the main features. Consumer cameras will not perform well under low light conditions. You will see noise and little detail in your pictures. At weddings, the lighting changes constantly, so make sure your photographer has a professional camera that can get the job done! Ask your photographer what camera brand they use and why he/she trusts that specific brand. Lenses: Many wedding photographers shoot with mid-range zooms such as the popular 24-70. This lens is great, however today more professionals are using prime and fisheye lenses. The only reason to use a zoom lens is for its versatility and convenience. Prime lenses are sharper, significantly better in low light situations, and create a nicer background blur. Fisheye lenses are extreme wide angles that are not corrected for distortion. They allow the photographer to add a few nice artistic images into the album. Flash: A flash is a important for wedding/event photographers. The better the flash, the better quality of light it will produce. While some photographers believe in shooting in natural or available light, a photographer cannot go without a flash at a wedding! Back-up: Make sure your photographer has back-up for everything! If one camera, lens or flash dies, you don?t want to end up with no photos!
